Whether you’ve got a clear idea or just a feeling, we’ll chat about what you’re looking for. Love peonies? Can’t stand poppies? Want something that complements your new wallpaper? We’re all ears.

2. We Source Everything

From the perfect vintage vessel to those hard-to-find stems in just the right shade, we handle the hunting. You don’t need to worry about whether that lovely vase will work – we’ll make sure it does.

3. We Create Your Piece

Using all that gorgeous input, we’ll craft something that’s unmistakably yours. And yes, your tiny beetle will be perfectly placed, waiting to be discovered.

Commissioned Arranagement FAQs

  • How long does a commission take?

    Most commissioned pieces take 2-4 weeks from our initial chat to completion, though this can vary depending on complexity and whether we need to source specific materials.

    The actual arranging usually takes a couple of days, but the magic happens in the planning and sourcing. Finding that perfect shade of peony or tracking down just the right vintage vessel takes time – and it’s worth it for the end result.

  • What information do you need from me?

    The more you can tell us, the better! Helpful details include:

    • The space where it’ll live (photos are brilliant if you have them)
    • Colour preferences or things to avoid
    • Size requirements or restrictions
    • Any flowers you particularly love or hate
    • The mood you’re going for (dramatic, subtle, cheerful, sophisticated)
    • Your budget range

    Don’t worry if you can’t answer all of these – we’re good at asking the right questions to fill in the gaps.

  • Can I see progress photos?

    Absolutely! We’re quite proud of our work and love sharing the process. We’ll typically send you photos of the vessel we’ve chosen and can share progress shots as we build your arrangement.

    Some clients love seeing every step, others prefer the final reveal – just let us know your preference.

  • What if I’m not happy with the finished piece?

    Honestly, this rarely happens because we involve you throughout the process. By the time we’re arranging, we’re confident we’re creating something you’ll love.

    That said, if something isn’t quite right, we’ll work with you to adjust it. Minor tweaks are usually straightforward, and we want you to be absolutely delighted with your piece.

  • Can you recreate something from your existing collection?

    We can certainly create something inspired by our existing pieces, but remember – each arrangement is a true one-off. What we can do is use similar colour palettes, vessel styles, or overall feeling while creating something completely new.

    Think of it as having the same artist create a new painting rather than making a photocopy of an existing one.

  • Do you deliver commissioned pieces?

    Yes, within Yorkshire we can arrange delivery for commissioned pieces. For particularly large or delicate arrangements, we often prefer to deliver personally to make sure everything arrives safely.

    Delivery charges vary depending on distance and size – we’ll include this in your quote.

  • How does payment work?

    We ask for a 50% deposit to secure your commission and cover initial costs (sourcing materials, vessel purchase, etc.). The balance is due when your piece is complete and you’re happy with it.

    We’ll send you photos for approval before asking for final payment, so you know exactly what you’re getting.

  • Can I change my mind partway through?

    Small changes are usually fine, especially early in the process. If you’ve had a brilliant idea or spotted something that would work even better, just let us know.

    Major changes once we’ve started sourcing materials might affect timing and cost, but we’ll always discuss this with you first.

  • What’s included in the commission price?

    Everything! The vessel, all stems and materials, the arranging, our design expertise, and that all-important hidden beetle.

    The only potential extra is delivery if you’re outside our local area, and we’ll discuss this upfront so there are no surprises.

  • Do you work with interior designers?

    We love collaborating with interior designers! We understand the importance of getting colours and proportions exactly right, and we’re happy to work from mood boards, fabric samples, or paint swatches.

    Many designers appreciate having someone who can create something truly bespoke that fits perfectly with their vision.

  • Can I commission a piece as a gift?

    Commissioned pieces make wonderful gifts, especially for housewarmings, special anniversaries, or business openings.

    If you’re giving it as a surprise, we can work from photos and your knowledge of their taste. If they’re in on it, we can involve them in the design process – whatever works best.
